I will continue to provide exciting and educational programs for families to engage in with their children whilst their time at home, Play allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. Play is important to healthy brain development. It is through play that children engage and interact in the world around them.

Making slime– making slime is a fun activity that the children enjoy, we often make it at OOSH, however there are ways that it came be made using home products also.

(4-ounce) bottles washable school glue, such as Elmer’s (see note for variations)

1 to 2 drops. liquid food coloring (optional)

glitter (optional)

1 teaspoon. baking soda.

2 to 3 tablespoons. saline solution (i.e., contact lens solution), divided.

Fluffy slime-

Add your white glue to a bowl.

Add you water and baking soda and then mix.

Add your shaving cream and mix. …

Add your food coloring until you are satisfied with the color. …

Now slowly add in your contact solution. …

If you find it still too sticky – add some baby oil or lotion to your hands

Mindfulness Yoga at home.

Cosmic kids Yoga-

Cosmic Kids makes a huge wealth of yoga content specifically for kids (and makes some of our favorite yoga DVDs as well). Their Youtube Channel features hundreds of yoga videos in a variety of styles. They have beginner videos that focus on teaching how to do specific poses as well as full “classes” structured around stories and adventures (like the Kickapoo the Kangaroo class above). Because each class is more like watching an interactive story, these yoga videos are perfect for kids who eschew exercise. They even have videos based around kids favorite characters like Moana and Spiderman.
