Using&nbsp;play dough&nbsp;is a calming activity. Children work their stress out through their hands, so&nbsp;play dough&nbsp;is not only loads of fun, but can be another useful way to help your children to release stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>1 cup plain flour.<\/li><li>1\/4 cup salt.<\/li><li>1 tablespoon cooking oil.<\/li><li>A few drops of food coloring.<\/li><li>1\/2 cup water.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Music and Dancing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Music&nbsp;ignites all areas of&nbsp;<strong>c<\/strong>hild development, intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It&nbsp;helps the&nbsp;body and&nbsp;the&nbsp;mind work together. &#8230;&nbsp;Dancing to music helps children&nbsp;build motor skills while allowing them&nbsp;to&nbsp;practice self-expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are lots of wonderful kids play lists available on you-tube. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"219\" height=\"115\" src=\"https:\/\/thescotscollegeoosh.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/image-9.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4170\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Draw your own body shape on butches paper.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may need a sibling or carer to assist with outlining your body. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A child&#8217;s self-portrait can reveal many things. As with any drawing, it&nbsp;shows the development of a child&#8217;s fine motor, observation and focusing skills.
