On Tuesday afternoon, the children spotted a fascinating rainbow while playing outside. The children watched the rainbow, discussing its colourful elements and features. The children had also thought about the science behind rainbows and how they are formed. When it was time for our inside activities, the children participated in a group project of making a large rainbow serpent. This involved drawing and designing a serpent on a piece of paper and joining the body together to create a large depiction of one of The Dreamtime stories, The Rainbow Serpent. The activity is one of our many focuses on the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and provide the opportunity to identify and connect with the Aboriginal culture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
