Dear Families

Welcome back to Term 2, we hope that you have been enjoying your family time over the past few weeks and have been staying safe. We look forward to seeing all the children next week as school resumes full time as referenced by the Government’s recent announcement.

We will be continuing with our new arrival and departure procedures that were introduced towards the end of last time.

Before School Care Arrival:

Parents/guardians are to remain outside the OOSH room during morning drop off. Please say your goodbyes to your child/ren out the front of the BSC room.

An educator will meet you at the entrance door and escort your child into the service; placing their bag away, signing your child in on the Sign In & Out register and then settle your child at an activity in the program or at the breakfast table.

After School Care Departure:

Parent/guardian will collect their child/ren from the outside entrance of the ASC room. An educator will meet and greet you at the door. The educator will collect your child from the room, including their bag and any other additional belongings. The educator will escort your child/ to you. An educator at OOSH, will sign your child out of the service on the Sign In & Out register.

Continuous communication between the Centre and your family is available via, phone, email and centre Blog.

Note: For most families, this modification to our arrival and departure policy, will assist you in getting to work and home quicker and your children won’t notice any real change. However, if you have concerns that your child may not respond to this change in a positive way or your child is new to the service and responds positively to the current transition process, we are more then happy to support your child’s wants and allow you to continue with our normal arrival and departure process. The last thing that we want to do is cause anxiety and unnecessary pressure to your families daily routine.

Just a gentle reminder to please continue to pack your child/ren’s breakfast/afternoon tea each day to eat at OOSH. If you wish for your child to store their afternoon tea in the OOSH room during the day please speak with our educators so they can assist in arranging this for you.
