The children had lots of fun this week using modelling clay, they had the chance to be as creative as they wanted to be, using their fine motor abilities, they showed they were able to make various objects, modelling objects such as, plans, people, food that they love eating, and since it is approaching Halloween, the children even created things such as spiders and witches. The children were so excited after they completed their models, and after their educator Natalia advise the children that they were able to take their models home and put it in the oven to bake they were even more thrilled.

The feed back from the children has been positive so i will add Clay modelling again to the program so the children will have a greater opportunity to extend on their modelling skills.

Clay is a wonderful experience for children to extend on their creative self expression as well as applying their fine motor abilities to explore their own skills and awareness. As this was a spontaneous experience, it was nice to see the children show an interest.
