This week the children have been engaging in a topic that sparked interest from last week, that is transport.

A group of children were all sitting around the book corner and looking at a large book of different transport, It was great to see the children looking at the information book and be fascinated by all of the different transport, such as, cars, trucks, trains, planes etc that the world has to offer.

So to extend upon this interest, we allowed the children to interact with one another as they played with toy transport, the educators set up a race track in which the children were able to race their chosen toy transport and engage with one another, as they pretended to be the driver of the vehicle and explain to their peers where they were going, and what they were doing. The educators have been placing the transport out all week, so it is good to see the children actively re-visit the play space each afternoon.
