Outdoor play

The children this week have been participating in many forms of fine motor manipulative play, they have shown a lot of interest in Lego and building blocks, this interest extended during outdoor play, were they were involved in riding the tricycles and using the large building blocks

Experience of choice were the Tricycles and blocks, they had asked me if they were allowed to take the tricycles out and they were quite excited that i had said yes. So they took out the bikes from the tuck shop and rode along the pathway, doubling and also riding along with their friends, then decided they wanted to play with the large blocks, so it was good to see them working with one another to transport the large blocks onto their bikes and place them all under the tree.

They all helped going back and forth and once all of the blocks were under the tree, they all got involved to build their building blocks together, this experience took over large part of their outdoor play time and it was so good to see them so engrossed in wonderful spontaneous experience.

I would just like to take a moment to thank the Staff, Parents and Children for welcoming me to Scots College, it has been a positive experience and i very much enjoy being here, If you have any questions or queries please feel free to contact me via phone or email at any time, I am happy to answer any of your questions.
