COVID-19: Asthma

The most important thing you can do if you have asthma is to follow your care plan, and attend regular appointments with your health management team. Here are some ways to keep yourself healthy.

Look after your asthma health by:

  • Make sure you have an up-to-date Asthma Action Plan, and provided schools with the most current plan.
  • Take your medications as advised by a doctor, and ensure you have at least 30 days of prescription medication.
  • Do not use a nebuliser to inhale your medicines unless avoidable.
  • Do not share your inhaler with anyone else, including family members.
  • A blue and grey inhaler contains around 200 doses.
  • Be active, engage in regular housework including cleaning and gardening.
