This semester, we have seen a lot of children take a particular interest in books and reading, this week educators have noticed that children have been taking some leisurely time out from play, to sit by themselves or with their peers and take out an interesting book to either read or to glace at.

Educators have been encouraging this by sitting beside the children and reading some of the content of the books while they sit and listen, as well as allowing them free choice get books from the Oosh collection or from the library. It is great to see them getting more excited about reading, some of the children even ask if they can bring their books outside to read, Educators have encouraged this concept as well.
