Mindful Play

On Monday afternoon, the children had an opportunity to engage in some mindful play, as part of our Mindful Monday weekly program. The afternoon kicked off by some outdoor fun, with numerous rounds of poison ball, tip, and crack-the-egg. Our boys Joshua and Jieriu took the opportunity to complete their homework out in the fresh air, boosting their mental clarity to focus better!

For indoor activities, the children had loads of fun participating in a game of Twister! A super fun and hands-on experience that help builds coordination and balance, while challenging each other. We then had group time, which focuses on the children’s interest and ideas about our weekly themes. It provides the chance to discuss about our planned activities for the week ahead, and allows the children to incorporate their own ideas and experiences onto our program. This is all done on our visual diary, which is up on display at all times. Families are welcome to see our diary anytime!

By incorporating mindfulness practices to our program, we equip our children with tools to help build confidence, cope with stress, and relate to uncomfortable or challenging moments. The earlier we do so in their young lives, the greater the opportunity to help them cultivate resilience.
