Asthma Information

If your child is diagnosed with Asthma it is a legal requirement that you let your service Nominated Supervisor aware of this diagnosis to ensure the needs of your child are met. A current Asthma Plan should be provided to the service that was issued within the last 12 months by your doctor. In addition, the correct medication with a doctors label clearly visible is to be provided and stored in accordance to our Medication Policy. To ensure our service is correctly meeting your child’s needs the Nominated Supervisor will develop a Risk Minimisation Plan with yourself.

If your child is not diagnosed with Asthma, however you have concerns relating to your child’s health please consult your doctor as soon as possible. Having an effective asthma plan in place benefits overall health and well being of families. Written asthma action plans are one of the most effective asthma interventions available.
