Remembrance Day Nov 11th

Remembrance Day in Australia is dedicated to all Australians who have served and have lost their lives serving their country in World War 1 and on-wards. Remembrance day is annually observed on November 11th so on the 11th hour of the 11th day and the 11th month we pause to remember the fallen.

To commemorate this occasion the children at Oosh participated in a craft experience where they were instructed to cut out poppies stencil using red cardboard and green cardboard cut out to represent the poppy flower stems, they then glued them onto white paper plates. They look lovely. It was also followed by engaging with the children, speaking to them individually about Remembrance day what what it means to them and why it is so important to acknowledge the day and pay our respects.
