This week the children got involved in outdoor gardening. We provided the children with fresh soil, water, seeds pertaining different herbs as well as fruit and vegetables.
This week we have decided to incorporate the Woolworth Discovery Garden and sustainability by planting a seed, Amy has been able to collect through her weekly Woolworths shop, allowing the children to participate in planting their seeds in their very patch.
The children were excited to see how it is done and enthusiastically completed the task with their very own seedling pods. We then placed them in our little pots that the children painted last year.
Over the course of the next few weeks we will be monitoring the growth from the planted seeds and once they have sprouted we will be planting them into our outdoor garden. We have fresh soil ready, so I am excited to see this ongoing project come to life!
