To extend on our interest in plants and also an extension to learning the life cycle of plants and animals, the children have been given a terracotta pot plant each, they have enjoyed using their creative abilities to paint their pots.

Next they will be adding soil to their pots and planting seeds, this will be an ongoing project where they will be nurturing their pots plants and watching their seeds grow into lovely plants. It has been great watching the children be excited about painting their pots and they are more excited to plants their seeds next week.

As part of our theme on sustainability the children have been learning about recycling and reusing material to create lovely collages and learning about our ocean creatures and why it is important to look after our natural environment.
