The children have enjoyed participating in various experiences that reflected on sustainability, This term we have seen the children group activities that extended the growth of plants and animals, we planted a vegetable garden using herbs, Fruit and vegetables. We painted little terra cotta pots and we added soil and seeds, this will be an ongoing project where the children can nurture their growth, and show love and care to the plants.

This week we extended the focus of the life cycle of plants and animals, they were given a stencil where they were to hypothesis and investigate the similarities or differences from the two, they were to either illustrate their findings or write them down, the conclusion was that the process was very different, however the only similar concept was that it was a cycle in which a plant and an animal must go through in order to evolve.
