Transport and building

This week the children have had the opportunity to engage in spontaneous play with Transport and Lego, At Scots Oosh the children love to use their imaginations to build and create different play scenarios. This is vital part of child development and understanding. Many benefits arise from Imaginary play, such as the social aspects of complex thinking and observations with their peers, Building upon their confidence and self esteem, Problem solving and planning, as well as being able to actively participate in creative self expression.

We have given the children the opportunity to create their own train tracks, they love using cars and other forms of transport, so with their toy transport figures they created a city, using natural elements as well such as toy trees, they got wooden blocks to create buildings making it look like a city, they also like to use the magnetic stacking shapes to create even bigger buildings.

The Children particularly love to create with Lego, they use their imaginations to build many different things, from flying objects to robots to building cars they were using to ride along their train tracks in their created city, its always so lovely to watch the children socially engage with one another as they participate and show enthusiasm to create these lovely imaginary cities.
